Lymari Torres Reyes has worked in the Office of Private Sector Exchange Designation since 2016, and is currently the Lead Program Analyst for the Au Pair and Teacher Exchange programs. She has a background in the Trainee and Intern categories.

Lymari started her career with the State Department in 2007 as a Passport Specialist at the Philadelphia Passport Agency. She completed a detail assignment as Desk Officer for the African and Western Hemisphere Affairs Divisions in the Office of American Citizens Services and  also served as Consular Officer in the U.S. Consulate in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She was later promoted to Management and Program Analyst for the Office of Management Analysis and Coordination in Passport Services.

Lymari possess a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages and a Master’s in Translation from the University of Puerto Rico. In Puerto Rico she worked as a freelance Translator and Interpreter and as a Protocol Officer for the Department of State of Puerto Rico.  Lymari speaks English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
