Dr. Chrysoula Kostogiannis is the Director of the Hellenic Institute for RECBT (Rational-Emotive and Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy), where she supervises Mental Health and other Related Professionals in Rational-Emotive & Cognitive-Behavior Therapy training in Athens and around the world. She holds degrees in Psychology from Baylor University in Texas, and master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University in New York. Dr. Kostogiannis is an expert in Rational-Emotive & Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Counseling, and Coaching, with extensive experience in psychotherapy effectiveness, with a specific interest in the socio-contextual contributions to psychopathology.

She conducts psychological, psycho-educational, and neuropsychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as provides counseling services and guidance. Dr. Kostogiannis collaborates and consults with businesses, government, and other organizations for the promotion of rational community environments, well-being, professional job satisfaction, and human resource prosperity.

Dr. Kostogiannis has held academic positions at the American College of Greece and Hellenic American University and currently serves on the Adjunct Faculty at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical Center. She received certification in 1991 as a School Psychologist in New York State, a member of the Greek Psychological Association in 2014, and is a professional licensed psychologist recognized by the Greek State, since 1998.

Dr. Chrysoula Kostogiannis offers individual, group, family, and couple sessions in face-to-face, Skype, and Zoom formats in both Greek and English. For the past 20 years, Dr. Kostogiannis serves as the director of the Hellenic Institute for Rational-Emotive & Cognitive Behavioral Institute, a preferred partner of the Albert Ellis Institute in New York, USA, where she trains and supervises mental health professionals who offer low-cost mental health counseling (www.recbt.gr).
