Jean Quinn
Senior Vice President, AIFS
With more than 30 years of experience in international exchange, Jean brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective shaped by her own journey as a student, educator, program leader, and host parent. Her first exchange took place in high school in France, followed by teaching in London through the Mountbatten program. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Intercultural Management from the School for International Training, which set the foundation for a long career in the cultural exchange field.
As Senior Vice President at AIFS, Jean oversees the Au Pair in America program as the program’s Responsible Officer she leads both office staff and a nationwide team of community counselors. Her work spans regulatory compliance, budgeting, strategic planning with international partners, and program development to ensure a high-quality au pair experience.
Jean has also served on the Alliance for International Exchange board for five years, contributing to advocacy efforts, conferences, and collaboration across the exchange sector. As a host mother to four au pairs from Brazil, Spain, and Costa Rica, she has personally experienced the profound impact of cultural exchange and remains deeply committed to the value it brings to families and young people worldwide.
