He holds a degree in International Economics from Valparaiso University and a Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law. Prior to joining the U.S. Foreign Service in 2011, he practiced corporate litigation and business immigration. He speaks Bulgarian, Serbo-Croatian, German, Spanish, Turkish, and Russian, and hails from Gary, Indiana—the hometown of Michael Jackson.
