Michael entered into youth travel industry in 2007 after receiving his diploma in German literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University. He was among the few pioneers that brought the au pair concept to China and was the first elected chair of the Chinese national au pair association (CAPA). In 2011, he founded LoPair Education, an award-winning youth travel agency that places hundreds of au pairs from over 20 countries in the major Chinese cities every year. Michael is passionate about adding value and improving satisfaction to au pairs and host families, as well as sharing his experiences to help first-time senders understand what an au pair is in a Chinese context. Michael has been a member of the IAPA Executive Board since 2019.
