Marketing your destination to Canadian youth

Monday, 18 March | 14:00 – 14:20

In today’s global employment landscape, it is increasingly crucial for youth to acquire experiences and global competencies by engaging with diverse people and cultures worldwide. However, numerous barriers persist. International Experience Canada (IEC), managed by the Canadian federal government, provides an avenue for Canadian youth between 18-35 to obtain a work permit to work and travel in over 35 partner countries and territories. As a reciprocal program, youth citizens from our partner countries can do the same in Canada.

IEC will share recent findings from its latest public opinion research on what motivates young Canadians to go abroad and for longer periods of time. This can translate into marketing tips and strategies to attract Canadian youth to your destination for work and travel.
