Antonella Arnau, Winner of the 2023 IAPA Au Pair of the Year Award, joins our conference from Córdoba, Argentina.

The physical education teacher with a passion for sports, children and travel spent two fulfilling years as an au pair in Carmel, Indiana, USA from March 2021 to March 2023 with her host family.

Describing her cultural exchange experience as “the best I could have asked for” her host family has become her “forever second family”.

Antonella’s exceptional skills and personality in caring for their two boys aged 3 and 3 months (upon arrival) led the host family to nominate her for the Au Pair of the Year with their sponsor, Cultural Care Au Pair in the USA and ultimately the IAPA Award.

The jury was impressed by Antonella and by the strong bond between her host family and their children who affectionally called her Anto.

During our panel discussion with other au pairs, Antonella will reflect on her two-year journey as an au pair. She will provide insights into her experiences and how the program has influenced her as a person and made a difference in her life.
