Cristina Hatfield is a Program Analyst with the Office of Private Sector Designation, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) at the US Department of State, where she works on the Au Pair, Intern, and Trainee programs. Cristina started her career with the Department in 2016 as a Pathways intern in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs and South and Central Asian Affairs. After that, she joined ECA’s Office of Private Sector Administration (OPA) as a Junior Program Analyst.
Cristina graduated from the University of Virginia with a Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Undergraduate Degree in Foreign Affairs and Anthropology. She was born in Loma Linda, California, but has lived in Tijuana, Mexico; Mexico City, Mexico; Houston, Texas; Fairfax, Virginia; and Stuttgart, Germany. She speaks Spanish and some German. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her friends and family and travel.
